The EL SID pump that LEF uses to transport water through pipes is powered by D.C. from solar panels above the kitchen. SID stands for static-impeller driven, meaning that the pump’s motor spins on a magnetic current without any moving parts. This pump requires less than half of the energy needed for conventional A.C. inverter-powered pumps.
