Though draft animals would be a &#8220;less industrial&#8221; choice, they eat a large portion of the agricultural product, and on a global scale, intensive animal farming is a significant driver of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The gasifier pictured converts wood chips into a combination of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, which then power a small tractor.
